About John Cotter

I've been licensed in the state of Michigan since 2005. I come from a real estate household so I grew up around the profession. I kid people that I've been in the business for 45 years because I've been around it my whole life. I think that exposure, along with having a great mentor; has afforded me a certain level of awareness or understanding of what buyers and sellers each need from a real estate transaction. While no two people are alike, most want someone who can provide great service and market knowledge. I love what I do because it allows me to help and serve others in ways where I know I make a difference. This is due in large part to the fact that I care. Also, it's because I have a valuable knowledge or skill set and can help people and counsel them on the many decisions that need to be made during a sale or purchase.

Because there are steps involved with a real estate transaction, it's important to have an informal meeting at the front end. This is particularly critical with first-time buyers. There needs to be a discussion about the process, what to expect, (what they would like or expect from me), and a Q&A so there aren't any surprises down the line.
